I wish there was a way to work out payments here. As an 18 year old college student money is obviously tight, but from just a simple check up I realized I wouldn't have enough money to help my companion. The staff here was kind, but if your pets life is on the line and you don't have the money at the time then this isn't the place for you. I will probably have to put my dog down tonight myself, that is unless she makes it through the night, and I don't even have a diagnosis. Blood work and an X-ray would have most likely ran me a grand. She is in so much pain and will not move. It is truly devastating. My vet is closed on the weekends and this was the only place I could go to.
We have had to bring both of our dogs(Jack Russel and Doberman) here for emergency situations. The staff are friendly and did a fantastic job both times. A bit farther than our regular vet but the hours were a life saver, perhaps literally. About a year ago our Jack Russel was in a fight with a much larger dog and had several large gaping wounds on his neck and torso. We brought him in at midnight and we picked him up the next morning after his surgery.
Nice, clean place, and good people. I had an emergency with my cat (goku)and they reassured me and kept me informed all the days he was hospitalized. Great place thank you all!
The facility is clean and professional, but the payments are outrageous and from my knowledge only upfront.
I called VCA this morning and spoke with Julianne. My dog possibly ate a toy and we are taking her to our local vet this morning. They do not do surgery of this sort so we were calling around to get rough estimates of the cost of surgery and whether or not a facility would preform it. Just weighing all options so we have a plan. Julianne was very cold and rude and kept saying that I needed to have my vet contact them. Well, as most know, surgery is expensive, I was calling to get an idea of a cost and what I would need upfront and if they would even do the surgery. As an employee of this type of business your first priority is the customer. You should have outstanding customer service skills. People are trusting that you are going to go over and beyond to take care of their beloved pets. Having spoke with a employee with this cold and rude attitude, you can bet that I will take my business somewhere else.
I took my sweet rescue dog of 10 years to this place when he started having trouble breathing. The actual vet who helped me was nice...but there were some other staff who made the whole ordeal a traumatic experience. I was told that my dog would have to stay over night and they took a $500 deposit from me. 5 minutes later...I was told they confused me with someone else and that my dog needed to be put down. I was saying my goodbyes to him when he rapidly started deteriorating. I told the front staff he needed to go ahead and be put down because he was suffering. They took their sweet time. They took so long that not only did my poor baby suffer longer than necessary, but so much so that he died before they got around to euthanizing him. And then the woman up front had the audacity to erroneously charge me for euthanasia. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I had 3 separate refunds processed to my card on top of losing my buddy. They were inconsiderate and very unorganized.
