I've been a customer of Hartman Hardware for 30 years. Whenever I walk inside, there is always someone (usually the owner, Bill Hartman) there to greet & assist me. Hartman Hardware has repaired all of my mowers (all different makes/models), stands behind their work and gets my lawn mower repaired in a timely fashion. I keep coming back because Hartman Hardware always has what I need/want, their prices are just as good as the big box stores, and I love supporting independent local businesses. Walk inside and give 'em a try!
Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about all home repairs. Disorganized store, but that doesn't matter because the guys fetch whatever you need.
I love local businesses when they work hard. The whole point of shopping local is to get a better customer service. It is nearly impossible to find anything in that mess. You literally can't walk down many aisles because there is merchandise laying in the aisles. I have no idea how the city lets them operate. It is unsafe just walking through there and always has a heavy gasoline smell. If they just kept it looking nice, I might shop there but not until they take some pride in ownership and customer service. I worked at a hardware store for 4 years and if I let one aisle get half as messy as theirs, I would have lasted one day.
