Everything was overpriced, they stopped carrying the cosmetics line that I use (Pacifica), they don't carry many of the other brands that I like, either. But the worst part about the visit was that there were no motorized carts for my elderly mother, who is having heart surgery next week, so she had to ride in a TODDLER CART all through the store for an hour, with everyone pointing and laughing, and not ONE employee offered to bring her one when a cart became available.
I shop at Costco a lot, and on the rare instance I have had to return an item, they cheerfully refund my money. I have purchased a tool at Costco, USED the tool to do some work, found the design of the tool to be unacceptable, and returned an obviously used tool-- they gave me a refund, no questions asked.
They got my $30. But they are not getting any more, ever.
It's called customer service.
I called Wal-Mart and spoke with a manager about their return policy; Wal-Mart's policy is like Costco's, not like stingy Target's. I asked the Wal-Mart manager: "So, even if the purse had been used, you would take it back?" Yes, of course, as long as it was within 90 days. "But it no longer looks new-- you cannot put it back on the shelves and re-sell it. You will still take it back?" Yes, of course.
The entrance/exit to this location needs to be redesigned for traffic flow and pedestrian safety. In all other respects this location is a well staffed and maintained Target store.
I bought a purse for my girlfriend at Target in Mission. She liked it, put her stuff in it, carried it around with her for 2 or 3 days, then discovered the design of the purse was unacceptable. I took it back to Target and was told merchandise must be in LIKE NEW condition for a refund. Which raises the question: how do you know the design of any piece of merchandise is unacceptable for use unless you use the item, and find it unacceptable?
Great service. I was shopping for items from gift register and I must have looked confused (I was!) Associate come over and offered help finding the items. Such great service is why I like shopping @ Target.
I am done with Target. Their return policy is unbelievably cheap and petty. It feels like GOTCHA!! "Ha ha, sucker, we got your money, and you ain't getting it back!"
Fast check out. Big store but helpful associates to send you to the right place first.
It's called putting your customers first.
